Weekend at Bernie's is a popular 1989 Fox farce which spawned a sequel due to the immense affection crowds had for it. Richard (Jonathan Silverman, Caddyshack II, Death Becomes Her, Caroline in the City) and Larry (Andrew McCarthy, Mannequin, Less than Zero, Pretty in Pink, St. Elmo's Fire) find out that someone is stealing money from their company. It turns out to be their boss, Bernie Lomax (Terry Kiser, Mannequin: On the Move, Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood). When they tell him, they are unaware he is actually the one responsible, so Bernie invites them to his house on the beach for the weekend, because he plans to have them killed. However, a wrench is thrown into that plan, as the Mob plan to kill Lomax instead. When Larry and Richard arrive, Bernie is already dead. So, the entire time, they pretend that he's still alive. If you love comedic corpse films, then Weekend at Bernie's is for you!moreless
