Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior is a film about a normal teenage girl who is shocked to learn the history of her Chinese heritage. Wendy (Brenda Song) is interested in boys, clothes, and competing at her school's annual homecoming celebration. She is overwhelmed when a Buddhist Monk, Shen (Shin Koyamada), informs her that she has the soul of an incredible warrior within her. He goes on to explain that Wendy is the only person who can defeat an evil spirit that returns every 90 years to wreak havoc on the world. Shen wants to train Wendy in martial arts, but Wendy is much more interested in shopping than Kung Fu. After her relationship with her boyfriend ends, Wendy begins to spend more time with Shen and slowly becomes immersed in the world of martial arts. When the wicked spirit Yan Lo arrives to take over the world, Wendy must look within herself to find the strength and courage that she needs to triumph over evil.moreless
