What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? is the classic suspense thriller from 1962 which has creeped out a generation with every subsequent showing. Mean, spiteful, former child star Baby Jane Hudson (Bette Davis, All About Eve, Now, Voyager) is the primary care-giver for her invalid sister Blanche Hudson (Joan Crawford, Mildred Pierce, Grand Hotel). They live in a dilapidated Spanish style house, decorated in early Munster. Blanche, who was the real movie star of the family, is confined to a wheel chair, after a mysterious car accident while leaving a fashionable Hollywood party. Baby Jane was blamed for the accident that injured her sister, Blanche, which sets the stage for her life as Blanche's personal slave. This warped Gothic shocker is the ultimate Bette Davis movie. She is absolutely brilliant is the demented, sadistic, unpredictable Baby Jane, going so far over the top that she seems truly insane. Directed by the famed Robert Aldrich (Kiss Me Deadly, The Dirty Dozen, The Flight of the Phoenix, The Longest Yard, Hush'Hush, Sweet Charlotte).moreless
