Warren (James Remar) and Mary Feur (Miranda Otto) move in next door to the Spencer's lakeside home. The Feurs argue constantly, and, after a night of passionate shouting, Claire sees Warren stuffing a body-sized bag into the trunk of his car. Suspecting foul play, she snoops around the Feur's house for evidence. She does not find anything conclusive and invites a friend over for a s''ance in an attempt to contact Mary's ghost. Claire makes contact with a spirit that confirms something terrible is afoot. As the spirit continues to guide Claire in her investigation, she begins to believe that the problem is closer to home than she originally thought.
