What's New Pussycat? is a comedy film directed by Clive Donner that centers on the struggle of Michael James (Peter O'Toole), a notorious cad of a womanizer, as he tries to remain faithful to his beloved fiancé Carole (Romy Schneider). He does try, really, but it seems that every woman he meets, whether it is the parachutist falling onto his car (Ursula Andress), the neurotic American (Paula Prentiss), or a girl on the street corner, seems to fall in love with him -- even if he was not trying! When he turns to his psychoanalyst, Dr. Fassbender (Peter Sellers), for help, he is left with no help since the very married Dr. Fassbender is out stalking one of his prettier patients, Renee (Capucine), who in turn wants Michael. In a bid to be romantic, Michael and Carole take a weekend away at the beautiful Chanteau Chantelle to patch up all the misunderstandings in their engagement. It was a good idea; that is until Dr. Fassbender shows up in the hope of bedding Renee, who thinks of the weekend as a chance to get Michael. It is a comical mishap after another as Michael tries to keep faithful and Dr. Fassbender holds on to his sanity and crush!moreless
