When Did You Last See Your Father is a 2007 Irish biographical drama film by director Anand Tucker, based on the book by Blake Morrison. Starring Colin Firth, Jim Broadbent, and Juliet Stevenson, When Did You Last See Your Father is a story of poor father-son relations and what family means, when push comes to shove. Writer Blake Morrison (Colin Firth) has one major dark spot in his life: his arrogant braggart of a father, Arthur (Jim Broadbent). But, even though the two can hardly be said to get along, when Blake receives news of his father's diagnosis with a terminal intestine cancer, he packs up and, leaving his wife and children at home, heads back to the village where he grew up. But taking care of Arthur in his last days isn't as easy as it sounds, when everything in the village reminds Blake of his troubled past with Arthur. When Did You Last See Your Father is rated PG-13 for sexual content, thematic material, and strong language.moreless
