When The Party's Over is a 1993 relationship dramedy directed by Matthew Irmas starring Rae Dawn Chong and Sandra Bullock. It is set in Los Angeles in the swanky Beverly Hills house of four young and outgoing room mates. The room mates are the three women MJ, Frankie, and Amanda, and Banks, a gay man. MJ is obsessed with money and his little interest in anything else. Frankie is a social worker and Amanda is a painter. Banks is a struggling would be actor. MJ is getting her career going as she's able to use her looks and sexuality easily to her advantage, but her personal life is starting to fall apart. Frankie becomes involved with one of MJ's exes, taylor...But MJ isn't done with Taylor, as he's still coming to her for sex. The jealousy grows and grows and tensions rise...Will the friendship fall apart amidst the excess and strangeness of Beverly Hills?
