Where Are The Children? is a 1986 dramatic mystery thriller directed by Bruce Malmuth, and based on a novel of the same name by Mary Higgins Clark. In the film, Nancy Harmon (Jill Clayburgh) is a young, happily married mother who lives in San Francisco with her husband and two young children. Nancy's life begins to fall apart on her birthday, when her two young children disappear and are later found murdered. Quickly, she is suspected, convicted and sentenced to die for their murders. However, her attorney is able to get the conviction overturned. While she was in prison, her husband committed suicide, so she is all alone. In order to have a different life, Nancy changes her identity and moves to Cape Cod, where she begins a new life with realtor Ray Eldridge (Max Garl), and has two children, Michael (Harley Cross) and Missy (Elizabeth Harnois).
