White Line Fever is a 1975 drama about the plight of truck drivers in America and one man struggling to make a living on the bottom rung of a corrupt and demanding industry. Jan-Michael Vincent plays Carrol Jo Hummer, a recently-returned Vietnam veteran who takes over his father's independent trucking business in Tucson, Arizona. Along with his wife, Jerri Kane (played by Kay Lenz), Carrol Jo plans on beginning a new life full of open road freedom. He quickly learns the trucking business isn't as simple as it seems. The corporate bosses in charge of the shipping routes are corrupt and using the truck drivers as accomplices in their illegal commodities racket. Carrol Jo takes a stand and refuses to drive illegal goods. He inspires other truck drivers and becomes a modern folk hero, and the criminal bosses are eager to make a bloody example out of the renegade driver. Carrol Jo and Jerri Kane make a charismatic pair of rebels fighting for justice on the lawless open roads of the American Southwest.moreless
