White Noise is a 2005 horror film centered around one man's undying attempt to contact the spirit of his wife. The film stars Michael Keaton, Chandra West, Ian McNeice, and Deborah Kara Unger. Misfortune and sadness befall Jonathan Rivers (Michael Keaton), an esteemed architect, when his charming wife Anna (Chandra West) dies unexpectedly one afternoon. As Jonathan grieves the loss of his wife, he is approached by a man named Raymond (Ian McNeice) who claims he can hear the voices of spirits through a medium called EVP (electronic voice phenomena). Jonathan is apprehensive about the idea at first, but when Raymond demonstrates how he and his dead son communicate using EVP, he takes it upon himself to try to contact his wife. But in his attempt to contact his wife, Jonathan accidentally opens a portal to a darker world with unsettled business to tend to. Whats even more haunting is that the movie is based on true events.
