Whiteboys is a 1999 dramatic comedy directed by Marc Levin. In the film, Flip (Danny Hoch), is a young man who aspires to be a gangsta rapper like his idol Snoop Dogg. Unfortunately for Flip, the odds of making it as a gangsta rapper are slim, considering he is a white man living in a predominantly white town in Iowa. However, this does not stop Flip and his friends, James (Dash Mihok) and Trevor (Mark Webber), from spending the majority of their time drinking 40-oz beers, smoking blunts and walking around town sagging their pants. Flip often says he is "keeping it real," but the the reality of the situation is Flip does not recognize what is happening around him. When Flip meets Khalid (Eugene Byrd), a black transfer student from Chicago, he thinks he has found his connection to the gangsta rap world. Will Khalid lead Flip to the rappers he is so desperate to mimic?
