Who Am I this Time? Is a 1982 romantic comedy starring Oscar winners Susan Sarandon and Christopher Walken. Small town hardware clerk Harry Nash (Christopher Walken) usually displays crippling shyness, except when he takes on an acting role in the local community theater. Telephone clerk Helene Shaw (Susan Sarandon) arrives in town, and decides to audition for the upcoming production of "A Streetcar named Desire." She gets the role of Stella opposite Harry as he transforms into the brutish, passionate role of Stanley Kowalski. Helene quickly falls for him, not realizing that the real Harry can barely utter a sentence. Harry, as Stanley, quickly returns her affection. Although other folks in town warn Helene that she does not really know Harry, it takes the closing night of the play for Helene to understand who Harry truly is. Academy Award winner Jonathan Demme ("Silence of the Lambs") directs this American Playhouse adaptation of a short story by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. ("Slaughterhouse Five").moreless
