  • An excellent made-for-TV movie.

I may be the only one writing a review for Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy and honestly, I don't have a clue why. Sarah Chalke is excellent as twenty something Geralyn. She's smart, witty, and slightly eccentric (like Chalke's character on Scrubs). When she finds out she has breast cancer she faces an array of difficult decisions and situations. Her world is turned upside down because she's so young. Her childish response "Am I going to lose all my hair?" really makes the moment better. Even though at some points (following a trend of bad TV movies) the character of Geralyn will turn to the camera and say "Did someone suck all the air out of the room?" instead of the normal narrative. Even though this slightly bothers me, the rest of the movie is amazing. It's truely inspiring and even though October is over, I reccomend it to spread breast cancer awareness.

Trust me, you won't regret it!moreless
