Wild America is a 1997 comedy about a group of brothers who travel the country searching for a cave where hundreds of bears annually hibernate. Mark Stouffer (Devon Sawa) and his brother Marty (Scott Bairstow) are budding filmmakers. The unwilling star of many of their films is their younger brother Marshall (Jonathan Taylor Thomas). Both Mark and Marty dream of being wildlife filmmakers and convince their mother to buy them some new camera equipment. Their intention is to travel across the country and find a mythical cave where hundreds of bears are reputed to live. Though she is skeptical of their plan, their mother agrees and off they go. Unbeknownst to them, however, young Marshall has stowed away on the trip. As they head to the cave, the brothers stop from time to time and capture amazing footage of wildlife while having numerous close calls with dangerous animals. They eventually find the legendary cave, but quickly realize that they may have gotten in way over their heads.moreless
