Wild Child is a 2008 comedy starring Emma Roberts in a story about a privileged renegade teenager from California who gets sent to an English boarding school where she grows up with new friends, hobbies, and love interests. Roberts plays Poppy Moore, a rich girl who has gotten everything she wants her whole life. One day she pulls a prank that destroys a lot of her dad's girlfriend's things. Her dad knows his daughter needs to get her act together, so he arranges for her to attend Abbey Mount, a boarding school in the United Kingdom. Now, Poppy is alone in a foreign country. As the young woman searches for her place among an entirely new culture, she makes new friends that usher her into a more mature phase of her life. Without any of the distractions of her previous life, Poppy learns good girls can have fun, too. Wild Child is a fun film about a young woman who grows up abroad, co-starring Alex Pettyfer, Natasha Richardson, and Nick Frost.
