Wild Horse Stampede is the story of two trail-blazing cowboys, Marshal Ken Maynard (Ken Maynard) and Marshal Hoot Gibson (Hoot Gibson) as they help a novice sheriff, while the unctuous town boss Carson (Ian Keith) and his crude gang attempt to place an embargo on the sale of a particularly important, and vitally needed herd of horses to the Army. The inexperienced sheriff later shows his worth in assisting the duo more than expected. A newly built local railroad line has faced attacks by Native Americans, as well as rebel whites, forcing the Army to move in and protect it. Further hardship is placed upon the righteous duo when one of their allies becomes injured, though they all and together and are able to face their problems like true cowboys. This film is the first installment in the Trail Blazers series of western films, directed by Alan James, it is full of shootouts and round-ups, quick-draw duels, and good old-fashioned saloon brawls.moreless
