Wild Tigers I Have Known is a teenage drama directed by Cam Archer that was a selection at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006. Thirteen-year-old Logan (Malcolm Stumpf) is a misunderstood outcast in school who is constantly bullied and harassed by the other boys. He can't even identify with nerdy Joey, his sex-obsessed best friend, because Logan is secretly fascinated with boys instead of girls. In fact, the only creatures that Logan can identify with are the mountain lions that live in the woods surrounding his school, which he thinks are feared because nobody understands them. When Logan starts a new friendship with Rodeo (Patrick White), an older boy in the popular crowd, he feels sexually attracted to him. Logan knows that Rodeo only likes girls, so he assumes the persona of a girl named Leah and calls Rodeo on the phone. As Rodeo and "Leah" grow closer, Logan must decide whether to confess his secret and tell Rodeo his true feelings. Wild Tigers I Have Known is a realistic coming-of-age tale that shows the isolation, sexual confusion, and struggle for identity that is inherent in growing up.moreless
