Wise Guys is a 1986 mobster comedy film directed by Brian De Palma. In the film, Harry Valentini (Danny DeVito) and Moe Dickstein (Joe Piscopo) are best buds working for the ruthless Don of a Newark, NJ mob. The Don saves his most demeaning errands for the dimwitted duo, including babysitting his goldfish and picking up his laundry. The best buds wish they would be given a chance to show the Don what they are capable of doing. Trying to make that dream a reality the two entangle themselves in a situation where a great deal of the Don's money comes up missing. Hearing of this situation the Don makes a decision that puts Harry and Moe's friendship in jeopardy. The misadventures that take place when the small-time mobsters decide to ditch town leads to many comedic situations for the movie. The mobster grunts must try to find a way to outrun the Don and his posse and try to stay friends at the same time.moreless
