Won Ton Ton: The Dog Who Saved Hollywood, directed by Michael Winner, is a 1976 family comedy about the tender relationship between a woman and a dog. The film is set in 1924 Hollywood and focuses on aspiring actress, Estie Del Ruth (Madeline Kahn) and a fiesty pooch, Won Ton Ton. Estie has just moved to Hollywood and Won Ton Ton followed her there. While Estie has big dreams of being discovered and living a lavish lifestyle, she is upset when she has to set back and watch it happen to someone else close to her instead. Talent agent, Grayson Potchuck (Bruce Dern) makes the discovery and soon Estie is doing whatever she can to get in on the action. Will Estie make it big in Hollywood, or is she destined to set back and watch it from afar? The film also has dozens of cameo appearances from Hollywood's Golden Age actors.
