XXY is a drama movie featuring the story of Alex (Ines Efron), a young teenager who has had to live most of her life with a deep, dark secret that she cannot share with anyone. She moved with her parents from Buenos Aires to a wilderness where they lived in a tiny wooden house in the middle of nowhere in Uruguay. As Alex grows older, she begins to realize that everything about her is not normal. One day, her parents invite a family from Buenos Aires to stay with them, as her father is to perform plastic surgery on his friend. Alex meets a young boy and as they begin to grow closer the inevitable sexual attraction between them increases. People begin to talk and the neighbors are gossiping about Alex and the boy and the nature of their relationship. Will she ever get to lead a normal life, or will the secret that has haunted her from her birth eventually come out?moreless
