Year One (Unrated) is a 2009 comedy written and directed by Harold Ramis who is famous for his work on Groundhog Day, Caddyshack and Analyze This. When Zed (Jack Black), a hunter, eats from the tree of knowledge, Shaman (Bill Hader) and Marlak (Mathew Willig) banish him from the tribe. Shortly thereafter, he burns down the village accidentally and joins Oh (Michael Cera), a gatherer, on a trip to see the wonders of the world. Along the way, they meet Cain and Abel, flee from potential circumcision, narrowly avoid being sodomized by Sodomites and fall in love with their fantasy girls, Eema (Juno Temple) and Maya (June Diane Raphael). In the process, Zed and Oh bicker incessantly while stumbling through some of history's most important events.
