Yellowneck is a 1955 adventure film produced by R. John Hugh and set during the United States Civil War. It tells the tale of five soldiers who desert the Confederate army, which is how they achieve the slang name "yellowneck", and embark on a treacherous voyage to Cuba. In their path lies the Florida Everglades, filled with all kinds of danger, including the natural hazards of the swamps and a hateful Indian tribe. As these five men continue through their voyage to find a boat at the southern coast of Florida, they overcome quicksand, hurricanes, snakes and other natural predators. This movie will keep you entertained and focused the entire time, with great action scenes and even a little underlying comedy to go with it. Although this film does not contain much about the actual Civil War, it is a must see for all adventure fans of the civil war era.
