You, Me and Dupree is a 2006 romantic comedy directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. Molly (Kate Hudson) and Carl (Matt Dillon) are newlyweds who just got back from their Hawaiian honeymoon. Upon returning home, Carl discovers that his best friend Dupree (Owen Wilson) lost his job after he ditched work to go to Carl's wedding. As a result of losing his job, Dupree has failed to pay his rent and is being evicted from his apartment. Since he feels bad for his friend's plight, Carl takes Dupree home with him and convinces hesitant Molly to let him stay until he can find another job. Messy, carefree Dupree soon brings chaos and destruction to the couple's happy home, tearing the couple apart. When Carl begins to suspect that Molly is cheating on him with Dupree, will Dupree be able to fix the damage he has done and bring the couple back together?
