After being abandoned by his partner, Billy Young (Robert Walker), a skilled gunman, is hired by Kane to help him catch the killer. Billy's former partner, Jesse Boone (David Carradine), is back in town with John Behan (Jack Kelly), his sidekick, and now they are trying to kill Deputy Ben Kane. However, Lily Beloit (Angie Dickinson), a dancer and Ben's passion, warns him about the upcoming threat. Jesse is arrested, but when Deputy Kane discovers that he is the murderer's son, he shifts his attention towards capturing his father. Kane's dangerous plan involves using Jesse as a bait to seize his outlaw father.
