Young Sherlock Holmes is a 1985 mystery directed by Barry Levinson. After Sherlock Holmes (Nicholas Rowe) and John Watson (Alan Cox) are both sent to study at Brompton Academy in London, the two quirky men instantly become best friends. While they are at the boarding school, they learn that a series of strange deaths have been happening all around the city. Holmes suspects that they are actually the work of a serial killer, but Lestrade (Roger Ashton-Griffiths), a skeptical police detective, does not listen to his claims. Using the clues left at the death scenes, Holmes, Watson, and fellow student Elizabeth (Sophie Ward) decide to take matters into their own hands to discover the truth behind the violent murders. After the curious teens find that the deaths are all tied to an ancient religious cult, they must use their reasoning skills to uncover the mystery of the cult before they become victims themselves.
