Yours, Mine, & Ours is a family-oriented movie that centers around a very different kind of family. Widowed Navy nurse, Helen North (Lucille Ball), meets handsome Naval officer and widower, Frank Beardsley (Henry Fonda), and the two immediately fall in love. They connect over the loss of both of their spouses and the fact that they are both single parents. After dating for a while they decide to get married and they break the news to the kids, hoping for a good reaction. Helen has eight kids and Frank has ten. The kids don't react well and the rival step-siblings try to do everything in their power to break up the couple, but nothing they pull breaks the couple's bond. Soon, the siblings learn to live with one another and they even learn to love each other and their new step-parents. Helen and Frank get married and they become a family of twenty.
