Zombie High is a 1987 horror film directed by Ron Link and produced by Cassian Elwes. Starring actresses Virginia Madsen and Sherilyn Fenn, the movie combines elements of comedy with horror and suspense as it tells the story of bizarre happenings at an exclusive, private preppy boarding school. As Zombie High begins, beautiful and intelligent Andrea (Virginia Madsen) has just received a scholarship to a prestigious, formerly all-male boarding school. After enrolling at the school, and spending some time acquainting herself with her new school's campus surroundings, Andrea slowly begins to notice that her fellow students are behaving very strangely. The students at the school are much more bland and docile than would normally be expected. Andrea's friends who were once wild and outrageous have become perfectly polite nerds who listen to classical music, and care only about pleasing teachers and getting good grades. Andrea investigates the school, and comes to believe that the faculty is performing biological experiments on the students in order to transform them into conforming zombies.
