Zombie Strippers is a 2008 comedy/horror film directed by Jay Lee. In the future, the United States has degenerated into a complete dystopia that is fighting wars in nine different countries. Since there are not enough soldiers, Dr. Chushfeld (Brad Milne), who is stationed at a government laboratory in Sartre, Nebraska, creates a new virus that can create an army of undead warriors. Unfortunately, the scientists at the laboratory become infected by the virus, so Marines are sent in to contain the situation. When one of the soldiers becomes infected with the virus after receiving a nasty bite, he decides to hide in a strip club to avoid being killed by his fellow soldiers. While he is there, he bites a stripper, and she too transforms into a bloodthirsty zombie. When the stripper's status as a zombie unexpectedly makes her the most desirable girl in the club, the other strippers start to think that becoming one of the undead might not be such a bad thing.

Metacritic Score

  • 70

    Los Angeles Times

Zombie Strippers is a B-movie whose ideas and wit set it well above the great unwashed of the genre.

  • 50

The New York Times Jeannette Catsoulis

Strewn with some surprisingly decent effects, this unevenly paced film delivers, if nothing else, on the promise of its title: lots of surgically enhanced nude dead women strutting...

  • 50

    Variety Dennis Harvey

The kind of entertainment perhaps better suited to drinking games than full viewer attention.
