This family comedy begins decades before the start of the film, when the military were developing a group of superheroes called Team Zenith. Their leaders were Captain Zoom (Tim Allen) and his brother Concussion. However after an experiment went wrong, Concussion turned evil and killed his other team mates, Ace, Darvia, and Marksman. Zoom sends him to another dimension. Thirty years later scientist, Dr. Grant (Chevy Chase) discovers that the evil villain is quickly returning. Captain Zoom now has to assemble and train a new group of superheroes to defeat Concussion. He chooses Dylan, a teen who has the power to turn invisible. Summer can read minds, Tucker who can enlarge any part of his body and six-year-old Cindy, who has the strength of a hundred men. The new team has to quickly learn to work together to defeat Concussion and save the world. The New York Times

    Bleeds boredom from every frame.

  • 30

    Variety Joe Leydon

This tepid comic-bookish comedy should zip through its theatrical run faster than a speeding bullet. It likely won't perform much more superheroically in ancillary venues.

In a feat of dullness quite powerful in its own way, this lifeless family comedy sucks the joy from every joke it touches.
