Munson Hicks' theatre credits include a dozen Broadway productions, including LOVE FOR LOVE and THE VISIT, both directed by Harold Prince; NED AND JACK, directed by Colleen Dewhurst; THE ELEPHANT MAN, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST, and THE MISANTHROPE. Off-Broadway Mr. Hicks co-starred in Neil Simon's LONDON SUITE and Ackbourne's COMMUNICATING DOORS. He has been featured at resident theatres around the country, playing such roles as Bernard in ARCADIA at Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Henry Carr in JUMPERS at the Huntington Theatre, Trigorin in THE SEA GULL, and Tesman in HEDDA GABLER at the Guthrie Theatre, Bri in JOE EGG at the Philadelphia Drama Guild, Charles in BLITHE SPIRIT at Center Stage in Baltimore and Dexter in THE PHILADELPHIA STORY at Indiana Repertory Theatre. At Williamstown Theatre Festival, he has appeared in PHILADELPHIA, HERE I COME!, THE ROYAL FAMILY and THE LEARNED LADIES. Mr. Hicks film and television credits include ED, THE GOODBYE GIRL, THE SENTINEL, AGAINST THE LAW, LAW AND ORDER, a recurring role on AS THE WORLD TURNS, and, ALL MY CHILDREN and THE GUIDING LIGHT. His professional directing experience includes BETTYS SUMMER VACATION in Pittsburgh, THE EARLY GIRL at Circle Repertory Theatre Off-Broadway, as well as both CANDIDE and CANDIDA at the Goodman Theatre, CHARLOTTE'S WEB and DOUBLE DOUBLE at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, KALEIDOSCOPE at the Goodspeed Opera House, THE MISANTHROPE and UNCLE VANYA at the Court Theatre in Chicago and LEVITATION at the Portland Stage Company. At StageWest, he directed SYLVIA, LETTICE AND LOVAGE, LATER LIFE. THREE TALL WOMEN and THE ROAD TO MECCA and performed in CAMPING WITH HENRY AND TOM, NORA and ANGEL STREET. He began his professional career as an original member of THE PROPOSITION and is a past recipient of Boston's prestigious Otis Skinner award.
