101
Declan Dunn, an anthropology professor who also investigates miraculous phenomena that happen to people everyday, meets Peggy Fowler, a psychiatrist at a local hospital and a skeptic. Together they try to explain how an 11-year-old boy miraculously survived nearly drowning in a frozen lake.
Write a Recap »A good first episode of Mysterious Ways. Although not the strongest start to a series, it did it's job. This episode introduces us to the main characters and gives us insight into their pasts, from the tragedy in Peggy's past to Declan's survival of the avalanche. I liked the way that the writers managed to incorporate Adrian Pasdar's real life scar into the show by making it part of his 'avalanche survival tale'. I felt the 'phenomena' could have been slightly stronger in this episode - in a way it took a back seat to the character introductions but overall, I enjoyed the episode and would watch it again.
