An NCIS agent is shot during a hostage situation at a bank on the next episode of NCIS: Los Angeles.
Agent Kensi Blye is shot at a local bank and the shooters are now holding every person as a hostage.
The Office of Special Projects (OSP) is a clandestine division of NCIS and is located in Los Angeles, California. They go deep undercover to capture criminals that are threatening national security. The team includes G Callen, the chameleon, Sam Hanna, Callen's partner and a surveillance expert;… More Kensi Blye, the adrenalin junkie and Nate Getz, the Psychologist to help the team with the mission and their own mental health. Also assisting the team is Dominic Vail, a new member that needs to learn how to put his knowledge to use and Henrietta "Hetty" Lange, the Operational Manager, who not only manages the money and material assets, but the team itself. They have access to the latest technological developments and they do whatever is necessary to get the job done.

Slowing starting to become its own show hide show
Although i had my doubts of this show. I am fairly happy with myself sticking it out and continually watching hoping it won't be like almost every other spin off series for example csi Miami over the traditional csi the show only after 4-5 episodes into the series is starting to take on its on "body" as such. though it still has it ties to the original NCIS, its starting to grow up and become its own taking on the world and learning that it doesn't need family as much as it orignally thought to grow up. NCIS L.A is like a more up beat, more family based version of the traditional NCIS. don't get me wrong NCIS cannot be beaten in the playing field when it comes to gibbs, denozo, zeva and proby, but i think that is what has made NCIS L.A a non contender, is because although it has the same similarities it has its unique differences to, it has that different feeling when watching it. it has its own feeling i am happy to say it has become its own show. a show that will both intrege you, make you laugh, make you sad and make you happy all in one single episode. good work writers you have in my mind become your own man taking on the world by yourself.
Not as good as the original, but with promise. hide show
NCIS:LA is an adequate show that's slowly finding itself. The three main characters of Callum, Sam, and Kensi are intriguing and need to be fleshed out more. The other characters are useless. The most recent episode had Dom being kidnapped . . . a good choice. Rumor is that his character is gone, which is good as the character was pretty much useless. However, the character that continually brings this show down and makes it unrelatable is Hetty. She is the most ridiculous character I've seen, and is completely implausible. Nate is somewhat useful, but he needs more fleshing out. I can only hope that Hetty is the next to go after Dom, which will make this show a little tighter as the writers won't have to continually find ways to justify these dumb characters. For me the most dynamic character is Kensi. Daniela Ruah is growing into her character and making her more and enjoyable to watch. "Missing" really showcased Kensi, and provided her with a solid storyline, despite the brief interaction with Hetty that nearly tanked Ruah's performance. I look forward to this show continued growth, and the character development.
Terrible production.. hide show
I fell asleep during the third episode. I was pretty excited to see Chris O'Donnel and LL Cool J paired up, but the production of the show ruins it. First off, they are federal agents. Why are they hiding their office? Secondly, hacking ISN'T that easy. You can't say every five minutes that you've hacked into a new system, because it just isn't like that in real life. I have no interest in watching anymore of this show. It's only the third episode and they keep trying to push drama into our face. They're trying to humanize characters we really know nothing about. Stop trying to dazzle us with technology and actually build up a plot.
Fate to be a deceased show!? hide show
This isn't NCIS style, however many people don't really seem to give this show much of a chance. Personally i love this show. it isn't as good as the original, yada yada yada. either way at least this show gets a fair rating on here. Anyways the thing i really like about this show is Callen & his team does undercover work to catch thier killer or terrorist. When i saw the pilot on the original NCIS show i thought it was really cool, especially how they worked together (mostly) with the original team. If that's not enough we got appearances of Abby Scuito & Director Vance. So why is the ratings so low & people don't like it? Maybe they're afraid of something different. I say the writers have done a great job! But i guess if you love the old show too much you may not like this one.
Yawn..... Did not producers lean with crappy spin offs like 'AFTER M*A*S*H??? hide show
This show is like having a spin off of ' Top Gun ' , ' E R ' , or as above ' M*A*S*H ' . They would, and as the last one, did. First, compared with the Military Channel's ' The REAL NCIS ' , both shows are plain old entertainment. That is it. But ' NCIS ' has a quality to it. It kind of grows upon you. The new one has even more flashy white teeth, glitz, etc. The stories seem lame, the script work questionable, and what poor choices of characters. You could try putting it in the NBC 11:30 PM time slot, and maybe that would have an effect. Well, probably not...
