Yep, exactly the reason I keep coming back to this series. You know, aside from Tiva (yay!), and those looks of Gibbs that make my knees slightly suspect. I swear, the man is old enough to be padre to me, but...wow. Silver fox much? I see a pattern if my ridiculous love for Jack O'Neill also suggests something...Anyway,yeah, a really solid episode, with some fantastic twists. I knew there was something shifty about that dude, and his "save the wifey" act. He vos ze evil! Yep, and liked the way they tried to throw us a curveball with the whole "not her daughter" thing. Aw, but did they have to make the little girl totally orphaned?! When she asked for "Mishy" I had a few tears brewing along with Ziva! Some nice Tiva glances though, for us. Act on them dammit! Gotta say, its been a good two parter for those of us that wants them to make nice soon! In a confirmed, not-obtained-by-Mossad-spyage way. And I loved the fact that Gibbs was, as usual, ahead of everyone, throughout the two parter. Abs is right, the only person who could beat Gibbs is well, Gibbs. Nice.
In this episode of NCIS, the following happens. The team learn from satellites a possible location of where Agent Lee's daughter is being held. Ziva and Tony head there and soon discover a cabin where they believe the little girl was being held. When they enter they find a room, which the little girl stayed in and a dead body. They told to leave everything as it is and to head back to the office, in case the man who killed him returns. The team set up another sting to catch the kidnappers. DNA comes back on the little girl's hair and we learn that Lee and the little girl have no relation, and that means that Lee has been lying. During the sting we learn that the pickup man. His wife is being held by the real kidnappers. We learn that Lee's daughter is actually her adopted sister who her parents adopted. But when they died when she was 6 months old, Lee raised her as her own. When he gives the team pieces of his wife's hair, which the kidnapper had been sending him, the team learn that his wife is already dead. The team, choice not to tell him this and instead set up a met with the kidnapper. Before they leave for the met Lee asks Ziva if she will ever see her daughter again and Ziva tells her probably not. In order to get the real Domino McGee and Gibbs commit treason. When the identity of the dead man is discovered Tony and Ziva head there. Once there they discover the little girl asleep on a bed and the bed is wired like a bomb ready to explode if she is moved. During the met we soon learn that the man whose wife was being held is the real kidnapper. He takes Lee and a gun and gets onto a bus. Once Lee hears that Amanda is safe she tells Gibbs to shot her and the man who s using her body as a shield. At the end of the episode we see Ziva with Amanda, the little girl. Gibbs takes Amanda to one side and explains what has happened to the only mother she has ever known. As both Ziva and Tony watch, Ziva starts to cry.
A cloak-and-dagger storyline, Dagger is one of my favourite episodes. I don't have a specific favourite, because it is so hard to choose - they are all so brilliant. Dagger is one of those. hide show

An amazing story, that connects all dots. With every team member facing their own challenge, and unravelling the mystery, the action and excitement never ceases. Agent Lee's death kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire scene, as well as for the rest of the episode. Mixed emotions, though mainly excitement and tension consumed me. The bottom line: I thoroughly enjoyed it. Wow.
Poor Lee! From a sex crazed, mousy lawyer to a traitor who dies! hide show
Second part of the episode was a good conclusion. But I would have wanted a more explosive ending. Gibbs killing Lee was definitely an eye opener. But what option did the writers have? they cant really want to prosecute her. Gibbs, McGee have bent rules for family before so why not her! She is not exactly a marine to have enough guts to face up to her opponent. So I guess her exit as a kinda hero is only way to get this episode closed. They could have given a little more emotion time for Palmer but I guess that would have been an overkill. Overall excellent ending. My condolences to Lee.
wow i absolutely loved this episode, especially the way that agent lee sacrificed herself. It was so good i loved it, and i don't know who wouldn't. I must admit it was a really good episode and i didn't expect that ending and was so good i have no other words to describe it, except the it the BEST thing i have seen this week and i can't wait for the next episode! I love how its gone on for so long and no body had realized it until they find her guilty of trying to hack into DOMINO, now that was a great episode!
