After one of the drivers of a shady shipping company is found dead, the NCIS team has to go on the road to take down the illegal activities along with the FBI.
Write a Recap »Perhaps I'm being a little generous, but this is a pretty good episode. hide show
To start off, I want to mention that this episod had a terrific concept behing it and I loved it a lot. I wasn't too pleased to see Fornell back again, but it was nice to see a familiar face, at least for me.
The case was very interesting, and Ziva and Werth together was a great combination, and I wouldn't mind seeing a little more of that in the future.
I thought the start of the episode was great, and it developed nicely from that point forth.
I would highly recommend this episode, as it had humour, a very interesting case and fairly suspenseful right until the very end. Great episode, and I hope for more cases like this one, in the near future.
When a former Marine wakes to find his friends throat slashed he calls on Gibbs who he had dealings with in the past. It seems there is some interstate trucking and racing involved in some kind of scheme and the team with FBI Agent Spano investigate. hide show
Some nice relationship investigation in this episode mostly with Gibbs. First we have the former Marine Corporal Damon Werth played by Paul Telfer. This was the Marine that broke DiNozzo's nose and dislocated McGee's shoulder when he was on something in a prior episode. They seem to have an interesting father/son like relationship.
Then we have Gibbs and FBI Agent T.C. Fornell played by Joe Spano. Again a former recurring character who Gibbs seems to have a pretty good working relationship with as an equal. Something you don't see a whole lot of. I liked the scene with the coffee at the beginning. A running theme in this episode?
Finally we get to see McGee trying to keep up with Gibbs and his lifestyle of never sleeping. Watching McGee interact with everyone else while trying to stay awake was very amusing. Tony, Abby, and Ziva all had a good time with this.
The case was sort of boring in that not much happened and there was a lot of wait and see. The Roadrunner and Camaro were almost the highlights. It was an interesting twist at the end. The Why and the How of this case were sort of strange.
Entertaining, but not up to the usual stellar level of most NCIS episodes. Still it was fun to watch the characters interact and the Tony/Ziva relationship always is fun to watch. I enjoyed the slip up from McGee when he thought Gibbs wanted him to "wake" Ziva and Tony up because they were together. Especially after the Paris job and everything we can surmise, but don't definitely know at this point. Thanks for reading...
Hijackers aren't usually NCIS juristiction; but when an old acquaintance of the team comes to Gibbs for help, they're forced to accept.
Damon Werth makes his third appearence in the series as one of his buddies gets killed in an alley; he goes to Gibbs for help and eventually, with the help of Fornell and the rest of the team, he manages to help to solve the case.
not my favourite storyline, but still a good episode after all, as usually the characters were the main focus... which begs another question: what are the writers planning to do with werth? and Ziva? They're teasing us episode after epsiode, I hope they realize this can't go on forever like this.
Another great episode. hide show
Another excellent fast-paced episode of NCIS tonight. TV's most-watched drama has been on an absolute roll as of late and is really warranting the 20 million viewers it gets week in and week out.
While this episode did not have any of the excellent Ziva and DiNozzo chemistry, that might just be the best on TV, it was high on action with a great story that progressed at a nice speed. Really no dull moments tonight, and some generally laugh out loud moments as well.
If you are one of the few people not watching this show, what is wrong with you?
R & R night at NCIS. hide show
Gibbs could have a real posse following him around if every life he saved, literally or figuratively, felt as indebted as McGee and Lucas.
It was great to see Fornell in the saddle with NCIS again; he may as well just switch agencies right now! That would of course, preclude him appropriating any more of Gibbs' wives...
Tony had some good one-liners at McGee's expense, and he also had some good stand-off lines with Lucas. Abby showed her evil streak as she described taking the car apart piece by piece, though I suspect you'd have to be a car lover to really appreciate it. I would have had it been the Maybach she was referring to!
This episode was long on character, and short on "case". The necessary murder took back seat to the Cannonball Run and I suspect the writers felt the need for a bit of levity after the past few "cases". Nothing wrong with a bit of R & R...especially as it did NOT involve Hart :op
