Show Summary [edit]

From Donald P. Bellisario comes NCIS, a show bringing us the inner workings of the government agency that investigates all crimes involving Navy and Marine Corps personnel, regardless of rank or position. From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents traverse the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties.

Leading this team that operates outside of the military chain of command is Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), a skilled investigator and interrogator who is smart, tough and willing to bend the rules to get the job done. Working under Gibbs is Special Agent Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), a former homicide detective who has instincts that can come only from working on the streets.

Joining them is Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), a gifted forensics specialist whose dark wit matches her goth-style hair and clothes, and Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum), a medical examiner.

Through season one a new character has been introduced -- special agent Tim McGee (Sean Murray, "The Random Years") whose computer skills will be a very big part of the NCIS team.

Special Agent Caitlin "Kate" Todd (Sasha Alexander, "Dawson's Creek"), a former United States Secret Service agent, has brought her intelligence and gutsy personality to the team through first 2 seasons, until during her duty in season two finale, when she was murdered by a terrorist.

In season three, the NCIS team welcomed Mossad Agent Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), who took Kate's place in the team, and the NCIS team got a new director, Jenny Shepard (Lauren Holly). After Holly's departure at the end of Season 5, the position of the NCIS director was taken over by Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll).

Great episode trying to explain P-diddy to Gibbs i'd pay to see that one again.  The case was okay McGee's self loathing over his book being the inspiration for the murders was a bit melodramatic for me.  I think the greatest part was Abby saying her and Mcgee could never be together or most likely we'll get a "oh that's in the book world but in the real world..." and we see them in bed

I said pour their hearts out to each other, not ripping the clothes off of each other and having beastly sex. lol

    Although, that would be awesome.

I think there are some shows where the plot is more accepting of ships(such as Grey's Anatomy and such) and I don't think NCIS is one of them.

And I think it is. I don't watch Grey's Anatomy so I don't know about that but I think the best ships are always in shows what are not focusing on ships. Like Farscape which was a very good sci-fi show and one of the best romance was in it I have ever seen. So we don't need a more ship-accepting plot. I hope it makes sense.

I already forgot.  What's the name of McGee's new book?  The first book is "Deep Six."

    Thanks!

I finally managed to watch the episode and it wasn't bad. There were only two "small" problems. First:I think the whole obsessed fan storyline was stupid. And it is a cliche. And it is always stupid in every movie and every show when they do it. Luckily in NCIS it wasn't as stupid as it is usually. Second:They already forgot about Paula Cassidy. I was sure they will but I hoped they won't. But they did. But apart from these things the episode was good. It was full of funny scenes. Like the one with the love interest of L.J. Tibbs.  And McGee finally admitted he based his characters on the team /but we already knew that/. And it looks like Ducky is fan of McGee's book. I loved the scene in the elevator with Tony and Ziva. They should pour out their hearts too, like their characters /and I think they will soon/. And there were a campfire again. I love campfires.  Abby was fantastic as always. At the end when she said "we need to talk" I was expecting that she is going to say something serious and when she said what she said I started laughing. And the look on McGee's face... So it was a good episode.

And there were some references to me in the episode. The second letter was signed by Andrew /that's my name/ and one of the character's in McGee's book /based on Abby/ was called Amy. Amy!!!  And I think I will try to use this "free-writing" because I have the same problem as McGee /stuck with the things I write/.

One more thing. When Tony is looking at McGee's picture on the wall, did you recognize the guy on the left picture? Because I did.

    Yep, sure did.

Did anyone see what Tony typed?

Not exact, but: "He grabbed his favorite gat. BANG! BANG!"

    lol

Wasn't it a picture of DPB on the wall next to McGee?  And I STILL want to know what happened at the end of Deep Six that would piss Tony off so much!!!!  ARG!

Yeah, it was DPB. And I am curious too how McGee's first book ended. Maybe Agent Tommy got married.
