Military/War
Gibbs has to face his past once again as he goes to Mexico, where he is forced to make a big decision with great consequences.
From Donald P. Bellisario comes NCIS, a show bringing us the inner workings of the government agency that investigates all crimes involving Navy and Marine Corps personnel, regardless of rank or position. From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents traverse… More the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties. Leading this team that operates outside of the military chain of command is Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), a skilled investigator and interrogator who is smart, tough and willing to bend the rules to get the job done. Working under Gibbs is Special Agent Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), a former homicide detective who has instincts that can come only from working on the streets. Joining them is Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), a gifted forensics specialist whose dark wit matches her goth-style hair and clothes, and Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum), a medical examiner. Through season one a new character has been introduced -- special agent Tim McGee (Sean Murray, "The Random Years") whose computer skills will be a very big part of the NCIS team. Special Agent Caitlin "Kate" Todd (Sasha Alexander, "Dawson's Creek"), a former United States Secret Service agent, has brought her intelligence and gutsy personality to the team through first 2 seasons, until during her duty in season two finale, when she was murdered by a terrorist. In season three, the NCIS team welcomed Mossad Agent Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), who took Kate's place in the team, and the NCIS team got a new director, Jenny Shepard (Lauren Holly). After Holly's departure at the end of Season 5, the position of the NCIS director was taken over by Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll).

is is just me, or is it slightly ridiculous that NCIS and its actors and actresses were not nominated for ANY Emmy awards this year? This year was NCIS's most popular season, and it became the number one show in America, didn't it? any thoughts? i at least thought Mark Harmon or Michael… More Weatherly should have been nominated.
Here's the game! I have also been playing this one on the GA Forum! It is interesting to see who gets voted out each round and after each game there is one winner! A run-of-the-mill procedural. hide show
The problem with NCIS is that it is completely forgettable. A year or two after it is off the air it will not be talked about as a show that had any important impact on television or culture. The primary issue is that this is a run-of-the-mill procedural, where the events of one episode have little to no impact on the characters as the show moves to the next episode, with the rare, two-minute scene of an ongoing storyline. However, plot and suspense do not equal substance.
The problem is the flat characters. Characters should undergo subtle shifts from episode to episode, and plots should help propel characters to new places. Neither happens in this series. People argue that the characters develop and change, but then are able to summarize that entire change in a sentence. That is NOT character development; real development is slow and complex, long-lasting, and worth mulling over. These characters do not have that outside of their interactions with one another. So, this show is pretty tame--takes no risks, offers nothing any more interesting or thought-provoking than CSI or Law and Order, and has characters that are the same now as they were when the show began.
great show, you can watch all the episodes online for free at blackboxshows. com hide show
NCIS is by far one of my favorite shows, it's probably one of the best shows on Television. I have been watching it since season 1, and I still love every second of it. Yeah, there have been a few episodes where plot just wasn't their for me, some weird things that just didn't make a lot of sense... but like I said, I loved it. It has great actors, that do a great job, never once have I not believed what I was watching. This is really a great show, and I think that it deserves to win some gosh dang awards :D
I love this show! Probably one of the best ever!!! hide show
I love this show! It's probably one of the best shows ever! It has everything in it. A little romance, some comedy, oh and alot of drama too. Which is why this show is so freakin awesome! I love Tony and McGee, they are almost like brothers even though Tony likes to piss off McGee. I think that they should make it last for at least 10 seasons. It doesn't really ever get old. I mean, there's always something new or unusual about the case they're working on and I hope that the producers don't decide to screw it up or cancel it.
All of them work the best together on any show I watch and like. This show I don't just like it I Love it the most.
Never I hope allow this show to be removed.

I buy every season of this show. I try so hard not to watch it every Tuesday Night so that I will be surprised when the next season comes out. The sad & bad part is that it takes so very long to get the next season on sale. This is so WRONG for all of us that but this show by the season.
Abby is just the kewlest lady doing that sort of job. Ziva is pure you go girlfriend. That was me years ago with what my job was. I didn't ever know the knife part tho. Waaaaaaaaaa
What can I can about a show that has twists and turns. Morals, conviction, honesty and being true to one's self. All the characters contribute to the episode ... each of them rattle the bones a bit in their closet. hide show
Watch it. It took me time to get into it just because of those black and white stills. The characters are complete and they all seem to compliment each other. There are secrets, schemes, and you never no who going to be in the line of fire. Unfortunately Special Agent Gibbs has to deal with his past and face those demons. Gibbs morals and respect of such ... make him a man that you wish you could help him make peace within but, he is a man that won't be changed but may compromise one day.
They are a team. They bounce back with the help from each other. Ncis team which defines teamwork.
