In the sydney telegraph it has reported that Ian Smith has quit Neighbours. So Harold will be leaving us but it said that he will be back next year to do some guest roles. It will be sad to see no more harold. He and lou just work so well together.

yeah this dosnt bode well for Neighbours...it's already lost a few charcters this year, and the producers will ahve a few sleepless nights over this loss
as sad as i will be to see him go, it gives the show the chance to launch a BETTER new family (when i mean better,i mean better than the Parkers) to take over from Harold's old place personally i prefer to see Lou go rather than Harold....actually Zeke & ned before anyone! why do the good actors leave and these two shockers stay around!!!! |

Gutted to hear about Ian Smith leaving, I feel this will leave a void at the show as he was the heart of neighbours. Great dramatic actor but an even better comedy genius- Jelly belly you will be sorely missed.

 Very sorely missed... I guess he's going to move to Qld to be closer to Sky and baby Kerry (and the rest of the family that moved there?) I don't mind the Parker's terribly, except Miranda.. she's annoying.. but I'm liking Bridget, and Riley, and Steve is okish. Another family with perhaps some uni aged people would be good.. We have the mid teen crowd, and the young professionals crowd (assuming Frazer, Rosie, Pepper and Adam get replaced with same types) |

Its sad, Ian Smith was one of the better actors on Neighbours.

I love Harold. I have been watching the iconic Neighbour's dvds and I like him even more!

Wow, at least there is still one regular poster on this forum that still has a grudge against Zeke and Ned. Most of the others have gone and I am not nearly as regular as I should be. |

Whats the go with Harold? I thought he left and would return for a few "guest" stints. But it seems he is a permanent resident again....

It seems last nights episode answered my question for me! It seems Harold will be on the road again soon.
