Death & Rebirth is a recompilation of the best moments of all the series, adding some new scenes. It consists of two parts:
- Death is a 60-minute edit of the original television series, including redone scenes and several new scenes.
- Rebirth consists of the first part of The End of Evangelion, the second Evangelion movie.

The song played during the credits is Pachelbel's Canon in D-Major.

- how Lilith managed to regenerate itself after Rei pulled the Spear back
