CNN is an excellent choice for hard news and they don't tend to be as politically bias as say the Fox News Channel, who might as well be called "RNC" instead of FNC. It's kinda funny. But I admit to liking FNC as it is more entertaining than the boring same old, same old on CNN. Consider me a fan of both, but for different reasons.

U guys in the US may not be aware of this but my favourite news channel is Sky News. It sometimes crops up in Hollywood movies when they show newscasts (i think it was in Indendence Day) the CNN we get over here seems OK but is full of advertising for hotels etc

    Fox News sucks!
The best news channel is CNN and the best news show is The Daily Show with John Stewart.

I still go to CNN when there's breaking news I want to keep tabs on. MSNBC is also decent but FOX is too biased.

I watch Fox News. The six o'clock show with Brit Hume is the best daily news show anchor, Big Story is the best weekend roundup, and their morning show is funnier, quirkier and does far better interviews than the network shows. I think most people who think Fox is biased really don't watch it, they just take the word of people who are biased against it. When I veer away from Fox, it's to watch Scarborough Country, and I had watched Dennis Miller occasionally, though his format wasn't consistent and sometimes there wasn't enough thought given to the time needed for individual segments. For breaking news, I think all of them do well.

Fox News thats where I go for the news and I watch MSNBC a little bit. I think all the news networks do a good job on breaking news.

Sky News is good. The BBC, although good, leans too far to one side, imo. Here in the States, FNC does the same thing. CNN used to, but I think they have improved a great deal over the past few years. News channels should be how Fox laughingly describes themselves; "Fair and Balanced". Sadly, very few truly are. The best thing to do is sample a bit from column A, a bit from column B, then make up your own mind.

I like BBC News 24 the best, however FOX news can get addictive.
