Glee's New Directions has already tackled many favorites -- Last Name, Somebody to Love, and Don't Stop Believin' come to mind -- and we're certain that they have many more surprises in store this season. Here are our suggestions -- in no particular order -- for the best solos, mashups, and duets for the group.
1. Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap
The intricate layers of this beautiful, haunting ballad beg to be arranged for an a capella group -- and New Directions would nail the performance.
2. MMMBop by Hanson
Picture Artie (Kevin McHale) on the guitar, Finn (Cory Monteith) on Isaac's low harmony, and Kurt (Chris Colfer) on Taylor's lead vocals. Amazing, right?
3. Wanna Be Startin' Something/Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough/The Way You Make Me Feel by Michael Jackson
We hope that New Directions will show the King of Pop a little love -- and a medley of these high-energy hits would be the perfect tribute.
4. Every Little Thing She Does is Magic by The Police
How cute would it be if Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) sang this one to Emma (Jayma Mays)?
5. A Little Less Conversation by Elvis Presley
We've seen Mr. Schuester get down and dirty before -- remember "The Thong Song"? He could make this raunchy Elvis remix his own.
6. American Boy by Estelle
Emma's sweet soprano -- and Mr. Schuester's spot-on Kanye impression -- would revive last summer's biggest hit.
7. Fame by David Bowie
Finn's got the falsetto to bring this one home -- but only if he wears eyeshadow and an orange spiked wig.
8. "What's My Age Again?" by Blink-182
Finn's also got the frat-boy mentality to charm us with this grade-school favorite.
9. It Ain't Me Babe by Bob Dylan
Finn and Quinn (Dianna Agron) would do a stellar rendition of this classic Bob Dylan song -- Johnny-and-June-style, of course.
10. South Side/Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours by Moby/Stevie Wonder
Adjust the keys a bit and you've got a new-meets-old mashup for Artie and Finn.
11. Barbie Girl by Aqua
Okay, Quinn and Puck (Mark Salling) just need to sing this one together.
12. Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson
Rachel (Lea Michele) can belt it out like the best of 'em, from Kelly Clarkson ...
13. Dream On by Aerosmith
... to Steven Tyler. I'm getting chills just thinking about it.
14. Short Skirt, Long Jacket by Cake
Puck's got the attitude -- and the low notes -- to get away with Cake's trademark monotone.
15. Gasolina by Daddy Yankee
We can dream, right?
16. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
New Directions has already sung a Queen song, but they could certainly work their magic on Freddie Mercury's masterpiece. Kurt would take the lead -- and Artie would jam on the guitar.
17. Everything She Wants by Wham!
Listen up, Ryan Murphy! Kurt must sing this song. No excuses.
18. Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani
Tina's (Jenna Ushkowitz) got the punk-rock sass to make this work. And just imagine the choreography!
19. What Have You Done For Me Lately? by Janet Jackson
Mercedes (Amber Riley) could deliver like a true diva -- and she wouldn't need a wardrobe malfunction to make it memorable.
20. Ladies Who Lunch from "Company"
Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) needs a solo, too. Why not Elaine Stritch's signature song?
What songs would you like to see performed on Glee?

I'd love to hear Elanor Rigbey on Glee, I feel like it'd fit the show so well.
I would like to see 21 guns by Green Day because i can see them doing that
I would LOVE to see glee sing ironic by Alanis Morissette.......(it would be especially great if they had it on a Halloween episode and Santana dresses up as a nun)
i think glee should do some more rap\pop songs like love the way you lie and grenade and many others
i think glee should do some more rap\pop songs like love the way you lie and grenade and many others
also Love the way you lie
Firework
Ehmagod! They HAVE to do Ke$ha and more Katy Perry!!!!!
I'm rooting for Phantom of the Opera theme episode! D; And I have no idea why, but I would love to see Darren Criss perform "Dude looks like a lady" by Aerosmith... x)
Runaway Train- Soul Asylum
I think an episode theme after the Phantom of the Opera would be great. Finn strikes me as a Backstreet Boys guy. I would love to see how they do "Don't Walk Away" by ELO. "Collide" By Howie Day. Simple Plan such as "Untitled" or "Perfect." "Broken Strings" by James & Nelly. "Superman" by Joe Brooks. "Hot & Cold" by Katy Perry. "Tik Tok" Keisha. "Breakaway" Kelly Clarkson. Lifehouse such as "Everything" "Broken" and "You and Me" Maroon 5 "She Will be Love" "Must Get Out" "Nothing Last Forever" and "Not Falling Apart" "Where I stood" by Missy Higgins. "Gotta be Somebody" by Nickleback. Shattered by OAR. Dreaming Out Loud by One Republic. "You'll be in Heart" by Phill Collins. "Natural Disaster" by the Plain White T's. "When did your heart go missing" by Rooney. True by Ryan Cabrera. "Love Song" by sara Bareilles. The Script such as "Before the Worst" or "The Man Who Can't be Moved" Smashmouth's "All Star" Snow Patrol's "Run"or "Chasing Cars" and "Don't go Breaking my Heart"moreless
ok the song I'm waiting for them to use is Fame from the musical I think that would be the perfect song for Rachel Berry.
TOETO by Vocaloids.Of course it would be sung in English, but it's still a beautiful song!
Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley :D
"The Winner Takes It All" by Abba, sung by either: Rachel for Finn, Kurt for Finn, or Finn for Quinn, or by Mercedes, just because she has the voice for it. "If No One Will Listen" by Kelly Clarkson, sung by New Directions (just because it's a great song, and I imagine it would be an amazing arrangement). "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt, sung by Finn (just because he has the perfect voice for it). "Changes" by David Bowie, sung by New Directions. "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie, sung by either Rachel or Quinn (but how funny would it be if Kurt sang it?). "Baby, baby," by Amy Grant, sung by Quinn to her child (if she keeps it). "Popular" from Wicked, sung by Quinn (adressing someone on how to be popular), or Rachel (singing it in 1st-person p.o.v. for becoming popular). "Let It Be" by the Beatles, sung by New Direction (just because, in my opinion, this is the best Beatles song ever, and it would sound great glee-ified). "(I Just) Died In Your Arms Tonight" by Cutting Crew, performed by the boys of New Direction.moreless
I would love to see a Taylor Swift song on Glee and even though Rachel singing You Belong With Me is obvious, I think Finn doing a version of Should've Said No when he finds out Puck is the father of Quinn's baby would be really cool even if it would mean a random outburst of singing! A great mash up (that would call for the boys in tuxes) would be a mix of Top Hat, White Tie and Tails from Top Hat and The Trolley Song from Meet Me In St. Louis. It probably wouldn't work but in my head it sounds class!
Ooo, I LUV that list - anyone of those would be awesome. My personal fav would be Imogen Heap's Hide and Seek but for a truly GLEE moment it would have to be a Barbie Girl rendition - HILARIOUS!!!!! I'd love to see a Hairspray song at some stage - those songs are fun and upbeat - perfect for the Gleeks!!!
Yeah Gasolina!!! Got to love regaetton from my home town of Puerto Rico!!!
Sometimes When We Touch by Dan Hill
There all so talented they could sing anything
this show sucks no matter what song they sing so maybe they should sing some songs in a language they can't speak to make the show a little better
There are so many possibilities, but here's a few that come to mind.
* "Girlfriend" - Avril Lavigne (Are you kidding me?? This would SO fit right into the show.)
* "Get This Party Started" - Pink
* "Hey Baby" - No Doubt
* "Summer Loving" - From "Grease"
* "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" - Elton John & Kiki Dee
* "Moondance" - Van Morrison
* "Sweet Emotion" - Aerosmith (Dream On would be good but I can't help thinking the harmonies on this song would be amazing.)
* "Surfin' USA" - The Beach Boys (Might be hard to squeeze into an Ohio-based show as we head into winter, but it would sound great.)
* "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" - The Beatles
* "Hanging On The Telephone" - Blondie
i'd like to hear no boundaries by kris allen :)
Oh- I just thought of one. The Best Is Yet to Come- Will & Emma somehow singing it to each other...it's a really good duet, if only they could work it into the show somehow.
I think Puck would be better for "what's my age again?" I mean, come on...he's the cougar chaser. I also think somehow working in Stacey's Mom would be hilarious. And I think we can work in some Hairspray!
Carry On Wayward Son!
I want to see something by Britney Spears on Glee !
The thing about all of the songs on Glee is that they perfectly match the theme of each episode and what's going on with the characters in that ep. Just throwing out song names is pointless. So, I think Paint It Black would be perfect when Finn finds out he's not the father of Quinn's baby.
I think the guys should sing "Taking Care of Business" by Bachman-Turner Overdrive, it would be a good chance for all of them to have their own solo.
Sweet child o' mine, Cool (Gwen Stephanie), I remember you (Skid Row).
Bohemian Rhapsody would be absolutely amazing! But i think Hide and Seek would be the best.
But tell me, did really Emma (Jayma Mays) sing "I could have dance all night"? I thought it kind of sounded like Lea Michaels. Can anyone confirm that? But Sue sylvester singing ladies who lunch?! Genius!!! That would be amazing!! Love that song and that musical! =D
FREE BIRD!!! [insert rimshot]
But seriously, when they did Queen's "Somebody to Love", I was a very happy man. They anticipated my request, and I was more than satisfied.
Every Little Thing She Does is Magic - How cute would it be if Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) sang this one to Emma (Jayma Mays)? .. TOO CUTE!! I would love it!!!! =) =) And American Boy by Emma and Will would rock so hard!!!
I don't think i've ever agreed more with a TV.com list, good job :)
Kurt leading in Bohemian Rhapsody would be amazing!
is very much interested and excited for them to perform "Barbie Girl" and "MMMBop" ... ahahaha =)
i definitely vote for MJ medley!!!
i definitely vote for MJ medley!!!
MJ medley definitely!!!
Locomotion by Grand Funk Railroad
two thumbs up for the MJ medley
omg, these songs are soooooo right for glee all are different yet they are so 'Glee', i like the idea of Jane Lynch singing Ladies who lunch but to be honest I'd prefer to see Amber Riley sing another High Noted RnB song like she did with Bust your Windows - that performance is the first thing tat comes to mind when i think of Glee and I have to admit Amber (and Kurt) keep me coming for more every wednesday! Chris' Single Ladies episode was also one of my Faves!
MMMBop O yeah!
SUPERFREAK by Rick James. It'll be just as hilariousas 'Push it' by Salt N Peppa. Can you imagin the sexual moves they'd create to tis song? lol
I'd love to see a metal song. Maybe Paranoid, or Enter Sandman. Obviously, given the level of general crap that they play on this show, they would never use a GOOD metal song. But maybe a hit.
This list ROCKS!!!
This list sucks..
