2014 TV Premiere Dates: Your Everything Guide to the New Midseason Schedule (UPDATED)

UPDATE (1/27): Hey-o! Not only has January been packed with premieres, it's been packed with premiere date announcements. We've just added a bunch of shows to the schedule below—see the Editors' Notes at the bottom of this page for more details.

Happy New Year! Now that 2013 is officially behind us, it's time to look forward! To set goals! To dream big! To watch a crap-ton of new TV! The midseason is here, and after that disappointing fall we just had, hoo boy, are we ready. There's lots of exciting stuff up ahead, in both the "returning favorite" and "good-looking newbie" categories. So to help you plan accordingly—because the last thing you want is for your goal-setting and big-dreaming to interfere with your crap-ton-of-television-watching, especially if you're still working on your holiday homework—we've compiled a handy list of midseason premiere dates for your scheduling convenience. Bookmark this page now; below, you'll find a filterable guide to all the new and returning TV series that are airing in the next couple months. Premiere dates, airtimes, editors' picks—they're all in there. We'll continue to update it in the coming days and weeks.

Please give the module a few seconds to load, it's a heavy one!

Editor's Note #1: If you click the follow button next to any given show, it will: 1. add that show to your "following" list (which you can access via the dropdown menu in the upper righthand corner of the site, next to your user name), 2. add that show to a personalized listings module on the TV.com homepage, and 3. add you as a member of the corresponding show community (if it exists), which means you'll see posts about the show in your community feed.

Editor's Note #2: Currently, our module only displays shows that have definite premiere dates—that's why you won't find shows like UndateableCrossbones, Louie (which will be back in May, but we don't know exactly when), and plenty more in the list above. We DO expect them to debut/return in the near future, but until they're officially on the schedule, they won't appear in the list. We're hoping to add a "TBD" classification soon.

Editor's Note #3: If you think you've found an error or notice that we've missed a particular series, please (politely!) let us know in the comments.

Editors's Note #4 (added 1/3): We've added The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonCrazy Hearts: Nashville, and the 2014 Winter Olympics, plus "where we left off" descriptions for many returning series. Also, to address an issue that's come up in the comments a couple times: We restricted this guide to shows that didn't air in the fall, with an exception for those that are taking an extended or atypically long hiatus (Glee, The Walking Dead, Grey's Anatomy, Once Upon a Time, etc.).

Editors's Note #4 (added 1/22): We've added dates for About a BoyBelieveCrisisGrowing Up Fisher, 24: Live Another DayCosmos: A Spacetime OdysseyGang RelatedSurviving JackBlack Box, Mind GamesDancing With the StarsFargoLegitAli G: RezurectionCalifornicationNurse JackieThe Years of Living DangerouslyPenny DreadfulSurvivorThe Amazing Race, Mad MenTurnSirens, Game of Thrones, Veep, Silicon Valley, ViceThose Who Kill, Da Vinci's Demons, and From Dusk 'Til Dawn: The Series.

Editors's Note #4 (added 1/27): We've added dates for SalemDevious Maids, and FX's new 10/90 sitcom Saint George.

What will YOU be watching this midseason?

If it has been abandoned i really wish i had made notes of the shows i've been following (i confess there are one or two lol) because now i'm a bit stuck without the guide . Shame if they have after all the obvious hard work they put into it plus all the people who have come to rely on it. ;o(

I guess they just abandoned it, because it also must've been updated at least twice up to this day. There have been a lot of dates since 27th of Jaunary.

I was really hoping there might be something here about the new TV series Resurrection, it looks like it may be really good in the sneak peak I seen advertized.

If I read the dates correctly, Bates Motel and Those Who Kill both premiere on A&E on 3 MAR at 10PM. How can that be?

Grey's Anatomy - Feb 27- completely missed that...thanks

Excellent list, thanks for that!

I will only be watching the returning shows...I will wait for the renewal-cancellation updates before bothering with any of the new shows. A bunch look interesting, but I hate getting involved with new shows that get cancelled after one season or even a few episodes. I find this to be more of a problem for mid-season shows. Not sure why.

Has anyone heard any news about when Grey's Anatomy is coming back?

Can' t believe you don't mention Game of Thrones at all, or that Justified "editors pick ?" is to end in April or Impractical Jokers on TRUTV, the funniest show ever. Had to go to WIKI.com to get more info, you've got to be more thorough especially on shows like Thrones or Duck Dynasty that draw so many viewers

Believe it! When we first published this story, many premiere dates were still TBD.

And Justified is excellent! It won't end until after Season 6, which airs in 2015.

We're working on an update now, and many new dates will be added by the end of the day.

I am unable to see the actual schedule... all I see is the text saying to give the module a few seconds to load because it's a heavy one. I've given it about 12 hours now... lol. I really want to be able to look at the mid-season schedule as I'm a little behind with my viewing- time to catch up! TV.COM, please let us know if there's something we can do to make this load- I've tried three browsers and two different computers and there's nothing... HELP!

I have been unable to view it as well. I've tried loading the page in Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome... and then tried all three browsers on my husband's computer as well. Nothing. Just the text telling me about this great schedule I should be seeing. I'm getting a bit frustrated, I've been trying to view it for a whole day now! :(

We concentrated on "official" midseason shows, and restricted this guide to shows that didn't air in the fall, with an exception for those that are taking an extended or atypically long hiatus (Glee, The Walking Dead, Grey's Anatomy, Once Upon a Time, etc.).

It's renewed for Season 3, and will probably air this summer.

well, I knew that, my question was regarding the remaining episodes of second season.. only 7 episodes of season 2 aired last summer, and the word was that the remaining episodes of the 13 episode season, was to be aired in winter.. if we look at imdb, the airing started already, which is not true I guess.. TV.com's show page, on the other hand, has no additional information, of any kind.. and on top of everything, CBS apparently sold those remaining episodes to other countries, so they are aired in somewhere and the torrents of those episodes are available already.. I really cannot understand why a network, renews a show after canceling it first, then airs only half of the episodes for the new season, totally ignores the remaining episodes, but yet, renews it again for a third season.. so how is it gonna be? will the US viewers expected to watch the 3rd season before finishing the second one? will they air it back to back? will there even be a 3rd season actually? it really is incomprehensible and very bad programming and very bad treatment to a show on CBS's behalf..

I haven't kept up with a single new fall show. I'll be so glad to have back Community, Sherlock, Teen Wolf, The Walking Dead, and Being Human.
I'm looking forward to checking out True Detective and The 100.
And I'm 4 episodes into Orphan Black and really liking it so far.

Homeland's third season is over. Season 4 will most likely premiere in Sept. Rookie Blue usually premieres in mid May after the fall shows end their seasons.

Also, FOX's MURDER POLICE may yet be picked up by another network, last I read.

Is FOX's US & THEM dead and done or are they still working on that?

What about NBC's CROSSBONES?

Still no date for either Us & Them or Crossbones. We were expecting Crossbones to premiere on Friday nights once Dracula wrapped up, but now Hannibal has taken that spot...

I forgot BELIEVE too and I believe there is no date for that either even though I just saw a promo for it On Demand or somewhere.

Correct! NBC has a number of of midseason shows that don't have dates yet; Believe is one of them, and there's also About a Boy, Growing Up Fisher, and Crisis.

Sorry for the confusion, but as noted above, we restricted this guide to shows that didn't air in the fall, with an exception for those that are taking an extended or atypically long hiatus (Glee, The Walking Dead, Grey's Anatomy, Once Upon a Time, etc.).

Or The Originals 1/14, The Vampire Diaries 1/23, and Reign 1/23.

I have to admit it really does seem like tv.com is intentionally snubbing CW, which is a shame.

Or when they realised they'd forgotten perhaps they checked tumblr and figure the fan bases for these shows are already counting down the very minutes until the next episodes so there was no point to edit the list? Also its January, everyone is still struggling to get back into the swing of things after Holidays and New Year
Reply
Flag
Well, that's one way to look at it. Though if that were true & they were snubbing it, there wouldn't be multiple threads on TV.com singing the praises on those shows. Another way to look at it is that they are simply human & most likely experienced nothing more than a minor brainfart. I'm sure if you let them know, they will spray some mental aerosol disinfectant in the air & fix it right up

The title is a little misleading. I was really looking for "Everything Guide" only to realize it was not the case. Just watched an amazing episode of Elementary and The Carrie Diaries is back today I think.

It would be good if you could really cover everything.
