OMG! Put the wrist strap on!
If you were anxiously waiting for ABC's mid-season comedy Single With Parents, stop. The show was due to kick off in the new year on ABC's schedule, but now it has been shelved after--get this--those involved couldn't agree on Single With Parent's creative direction. Shocking!
Sarcasm aside, creator Kristin Newman and Single With Parents' producing squad got into several spats about the show's outlook, halting production several times, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Ultimately, the two sides decided to just give up on the whole darned thing, at which point ABC called it quits. Single With Parents had gotten only as far as the pilot episode.
Alyssa Milano was all set to headline the comedy as a single gal who copes with her recently divorced parents, who use their newfound free time to annoy the s*** out of her. Also in the program were Beau Bridges and Annie Potts.
Well, it didn't exactly sound like a winner in the first place, so I don't mind. You?

Hope Alyssa gets a good tv role soon, i'd like to see her on the small screen again. Something with a better concept than this preferably.
Other than not being able to see Alyssa in a series again this really doesn't matter.
I never heard of this show to begin with, so it's not that much of a loss, Alyssa has prowess that she can get involved with something even better. Maybe this is good news for keeping Pushing Daisies on air!! :) Here's hoping!

That's to bad for Alyssa; I like Annie Potts too. Maybe Alyssa will resurface in something else soon.
When you have drama on the set that's never a good thing, especially if you haven't even started producing episodes yet. ABC doesn't need the headaches so I'm behind them on this one.

riiiight... they cancelled a show because the creator couldn't agree with the producing team... that's what they go by these days. I guess it's better than "we had to cancel another stinker after we screened the pilot to an unfortunate audience"...
It might have been a good show, I would have given it a try tbh.

Huh, only heard about this show once before, guess I won't be hearing about it ever again.
Is my opinion that are to many divorced parents shows already on the air. May be later if some of does shows get axe.
Doesnt sound fantastic, but might have been worth a watch. I was a huge charmed fan so probably would have watched the first episode just because of Alyssa I guess. But didnt even know it was being made so no loss
I would have liked to see Alyssa Milano back on TV. Other than My name is Earl she has not done much since Charmed ended and while that show had its comedic moments, she has not done a comedy since the 90's. this would have given her a chance to cut loose. maybe she will get another chance.
