The Lying Down Game.
Teen twins! Life-swapping! Secrets kept by birth moms! And a little something we like to call murder! There's all that and more on ABC Family's The Lying Game, and the teen-sanity won't stop. ABC Family has renewed the series for a second season just shy of two months after the Season 1 finale.
The show follows a pair of identical twins (both played by Alexandra Chando) who were separated at an early age and went on to live very different lives. One grew up in the foster system, and the other was raised by super-rich parents, obviously. Season 1 saw the rich one wanting to find out who her birth mom is, so she asked the foster kid to step into her life, and wouldn't you know it? Tons of secrets were discovered and lives were messed up.
According to ABC Family, the audience for The Lying Game steadily increased as Season 1 progressed. Though not as straight-up of a hit as fellow ABC Family shows Pretty Little Liars, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and Switched at Birth, The Lying Game got a vote of confidence when the network extended its Season 1 run in September, so this renewal doesn't come as a surprise.
