ABC renews V, axes FlashForward and Scrubs

ABC have finally had their inevitable schedule cleanout, reportedly cancelling FlashForward and Scrubs in the process.

The American broadcaster, which unceremoniously dumped Happy Town yesterday, has also axed US shows Romantically Challenged and Better off Ted in favour of alien remake V. The sci-fi series, fronted by Firefly's Morena Baccarin, was saved following a recent ratings boost in the States.

Some of ABC's more popular shows, including Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, are still waiting on official renewal confirmation, but it's unlikely any will face the chop.

Will you be petitioning for any of their return?

Good news about V - Not so much for FF but then again as I've said before ABC screwed that before it even began by inciting and encouraging all that "This is the next LOST" crap. I hope at least that FF has a satisfying season finale so we aren't ripped off too badly.

I thought flashForward and Romantically Challenged were really good show. I also missed Alyssa Milano on a show. I'm surprised they axed them instead of V

FlashForward was axed instead of V... Wonder if it had anything to do with Lisa being shown in her underwear more than once? **Help me, I'm hurt and I'm in my underwear that wasn't damaged at all.**

I gave up on Flashforward a long time ago, and yet was disappointed that it wasn't more captivating for me. As for the rest, including V, I didn't/don't watch any of them anyway. They kept Castle for me, that's all I need!

I am surprised they cancelled romantically challenged. it's rating weren't that bad. very happy for V but I am afraid the 2nd season will be its last unless it magically jumps to ratings of 3.0 or above in A18-49 and stays there...

Happy Town and FlashForward had it coming with ratings below 1.5... Desperate housewives needs to get its act together... this season was really really bad... Grey's Anatomy wasnt great this year either. Private Practice however had, in my opinion its best season ever and last night's finale was incredible!
