We're almost into 2009, which means that networks have a whole new chunk of shows getting ready to make their debuts and be at the mercy of Nielsen ratings. ABC has three fairly high-profile scripted series set to launch: Castle, The Unusuals, and Cupid, and today revealed when it will take the sheet off them.
Castle, starring Firefly's Nathan Fillion, will premiere Monday, March 9 at 10 p.m. Fillion plays a horror novelist who is serving as a consultant to the police and discovers a serial killer is copying methods that appear in his books.
Cupid, from Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas, will start shooting love arrows on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. beginning March 24. The show is the second go-round for the romantic-dramedy, which centers on a man who thinks he's the famed cherub o' love.
Finally, The Unusuals will debut April 8 and assume the Wednesday 10 p.m. spot. The drama stars Amber Tamblyn as a cop who works with a homicide division full of quirky characters.
