ABC's Fall Schedule Pushes V to Midseason

No Ordinary Family highlights ABC's new programs.

ABC unveiled its 2010-2011 schedule today, and it shouldn't be too hard for fans of the network's returning shows to find them next season.

Castle, the Wednesday-night comedy block, Shonda Rhimes' Thursday double-dip of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, and Sunday's pairing of Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters all remain in their time slots. In fact, none of the networks to reveal schedules so far have shaken things up that much when deciding where to put returning shows.

V is the exception, and is nowhere to be found on ABC's fall schedule (it aired four episodes last fall before being returning in March); it looks like the the alien-invasion series will be held for midseason.

Of the network's new shows, high-profile superhero drama No Ordinary Family opens Tuesday nights at 8pm, and cop show Detroit 1-8-7 closes the evening, sandwiching Dancing With the Stars in between. Relationship comedy Better Together squeezes into Wednesday night, replacing Hank. New drama My Generation kicks things off on Thursdays, and Rhimes' new doctor drama Off the Map is being held until midseason.
