TMZ's normally talkative boss, Harvey Levin (he's the one seen on the TMZ TV show usually sipping soda through a straw), declined to be interviewed or issue a statement in reaction to Alec Baldwin labeling him "a human tumor" in a Playboy interview.
The star of 30 Rock blasts Levin in the interview, which appears in the mag's July issue. "Everybody knows Levin is a human tumor, a graceless character who lives in that weird netherworld," said Baldwin, apparently peeved at Levin for TMZ's fixation on celebrities – a fixation so creepy that it often seems like outright stalking. "I don't blame those pathetic people," Baldwin said. "They are what they are."
Baldwin also claims in the interview that he plans on quitting 30 Rock after the sixth season wraps production in March 2012. "I'm done in 2012," Baldwin declares. "In March 2012, I'll wake up and say, 'What am I going to do now? Am I done?' I think I will be done. I may finish a play or something, but I'm retiring at the wrap party."
Whether he makes good on this vow will not be known for three years. And by then, who will remember he ever said it in the first place?

We all know Alec Baldwin's type his is our pissy entitled uncle, who always says the wrong thing at the wrong time and is relentlessly serious about himself as he is unserious about everyone else. He should stop taking himself so seriously and enjoy his fame and success...and his incredible hair. He just wakes up looking like that!
I like Alec Baldwin and he is entitled his opinion of Harvey after all Harvey dishes it out all the time so I think it's perfectedly fine that Alec dish right back. :) BTW I watch <strong>TMZ</strong> I like when the show the older television stars of days gone by (Mike Connors, Ernest Borgnine, Peter Falk etc.) and enjoy their quips, actually Anne Meara told TMZ to F- off, I was surprised didn't know she was a potty mouth.

I can't argue on his views of TMZ but he is being a little presumptuous about 30 Rock surviving until 2012 with the way things are going in broadcast TV these days. Mr. Baldwin has always been a little strange since his falling out with Kim Basinger. I think those two were made for each other.

I agree with Baldwin about Levin. But that's about all I can say in his defense...Seems to me he has some longstanding issues with accepting responsibility for his actions/behaviour.Was/is this pity-party truly his own self indulgence or is it a publicist's ploy?
Maybe, they will fire him from 30 Rock before 2012 so that he doesn't get the 5 year "rerun" revenues later ...!!! :--))

alec sounds like the pathetic one in this article. and who cares what he wants to do if he leaves 30 rock which will be lucky to last till 2012.
Change the spelling in the title when you put "Alex". You get "Alec" right in the article.
