Amazon Renews Bosch for Season 3

Amazon is building up its portfolio as it continues to make strides in the online streaming business, which is a boring way of saying that it needs content to grab those sweet, sweet Amazon Prime subscriber bucks. The streamer renewed Bosch for Season 3, according to Deadline, making it Amazon's longest-running scripted drama.

Based on the best-selling books by Michael Connolly, Bosch stars Titus Welliver as the titular cop, a hardened detective who is no stranger to being in trouble himself. Jamie Hector, Lance Reddick, and Madison Lintz also star. There's no word on what book, if any, Season 3 will use as a guide.

Bosch joins Mozart in the Jungle and Transparent as the only adult-targeted Amazon originals to reach a third season. On the drama side, Amazon also has The Man in the High Castle and Hand of God returning for second seasons.

Are you watching Bosch?

I'm glad. It's not an amazing show and I'm not really a fan of procedurals, but it's definitely worth watching, especially with only a 10 episodes commitment. Also LOVE Titus Welliver!

Nice! It's not the best show around, not even in its genre, but it continuously finds a way to be quite engrossing. Nothing flashy, nothing standout. But a solid solid police drama.

Solid is a good description. It is not great but it keeps you interested enough to watch it all.

I like Welliver and Reddick so planning to watch this show at some point...
From Amazon so far I found Man on the High Castle was pretty good more due to the plot and the 'bad guys' than the titular 'good guys' who were pretty flat... Casting could have been better for the roles of Joe Blake and Juliana Crane IMO
Is Hand of God worth watching? I like Ron Perlman but the reviews of the show have been pretty bad...

Hand of God is ok, but the actors are a step above the quality of the storyline which is a bit silly.

Yeah! On paper Bosch shouldn't be anything fancy, but its just got a really great vibe. Titus totally makes the show (plus I love jazz so that helps)

Very nice portfolio building up and Bosch is one of the best. Also looking forward to Highston, could well be the best new comedy for a long time.

No surprise to me , but I think that's the only good show they have.

Bosch is a very good show. It's not all theatrics, shoot outs and car chases. There is an actual intelligent thoughtful storyline and believable acting in this show. This is a winner for Amazon unlike their new show Mad Dogs which was totally ridiculous. Could only watch 2 episodes. You know there are problems when a midget shows up at dinner wearing a fake full faced cat mask and pulling a gun. (imho)

I'm an Amazon Prime subscriber, but I've actually never watched this show. Is it any good?
I kind of feel like Netflix gets quite a bit of attention from this site, but Amazon Prime originals... Not so much? With #PeakTV happening right now, I do tend to rely on some of the opinions here to take up something new. So, help! :-)

I like the show and I agree with the comments others are making. It's very good acting, writing and story. It reminds me of the way things used to be before the industry started using special effects and other gimmicks as a substitute for good old fashioned, imagination and talent. It has a "back to basics" feeling which they do very well.

I'd recommend checking it out if you have the time. I'm not a crime drama fan myself but I love Bosch. Its understated tone and slow-burning narrative make it feel authentic and Titus Welliver is very convincing in the role.
