American Idol's candy woman

American Idol winner Carrie Underwood is putting her newfound star power to good use by signing up with candy maker Hershey's for a series of ads wherein she reimagines classic candy jingles from the past. She'll sing the famous Kit Kat tune, as well as a fabulous version of the Almond Joy song, the Mounds song, and the entire roster of beloved Reese's candy themes.

In a statement, Underwood said, "I have such great memories of growing up and enjoying Hershey's chocolate. I'm excited to be a part of this promotion."

Recently, Underwood was named the new celebrity spokesperson for Skechers shoes, and she became the first country artist to have a single debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Underwood is currently on the American Idol Live! tour, where she and the nine other show finalists receive daily injections of Hershey's chocolate mind-control serum "YumZum 7."
