And the public got it right for the most part. Yay for Community and Fringe as winners. But how did Fringe not win best Sci-fi?
For those who think The Big Bang Theory is better than Community, that's your right! But for me any comedy with laughing in the background can NEVER be the best comedy.
Big Bang Theory, HIMYM, etc. very enjoyable and I'll certainly keep watching them, and some might even enjoy it more than Community (tastes differ, that's a fact!). But in no way is it 'better' than Community.

Wow, for once I basically agree with everyone single one of these that applies to me! Except I don't watch Supernatural but I can kind of understand it being above The Walking Dead. Except fo the Walking Dead's last episode which made me cry shocked tears....
Community isn't THAT good. Not good enough to surpass shows like Breaking Bad, Boss, and Fringe. Comon people, don't let TV.com be plagued by "popularitis".
Or maybe Community really is THAT good. Just because its a 22 minute comedy doesn't make it any less smart, ingenious or well crafted than 43 minute drama.
I have crrazy love for both Community and Breaking Bad, but it has to be said that while Community is genius, Breaking Bad is art, and it transcends television.

Well I agree with alit of this list however I dislike a number of the categories. Like the reality show one and the best variety show (I like Jimmy Falon's show the best) and I think ugly americans is the best animated show of 2011, hands down.

Duh doy. It has a big fan base on here and possibly in real life but neither is shown in it's ratings on TV. As a highly acclaimed show by both fans who have watched every episode and critics (some of whom seemed to not like the show were livid when it was taken off the schedule and immediately said they loved the show but rated it harshly due to how amazing it was)) it lives up to the definition of underrated. And also it rules so it won best overall.

Game of thrones was pretty good. But the rest of those, I won't even remember them in 30 minutes. Flush them down the toilet and make a wish.
Game of Thrones IS the best Fantasy series, I can't believe that the last two pitiful seasons of Supernatural beat it. But really, Sci-fi last year was scarce, and with Game of Thrones trouncing everything, there should have been two separate categories.

Although if we just spoke about what aired in 2011...Fringe should've won that category too. Also..best underrated series should've gone to Fringe. Are you sensing a pattern here?
No Breaking Bad wins = fail. Nervous Community fans blanket-voted...it's good but not the best overal show, that's for sure.

It's a popularity contest which I really don't understand in the case of Community because, sadly, nobody's watching. I'm a die hard fan of community, but we shouldn't have won if TV.com had more readers or you were allowed to vote just once. But hey, every little thing helps.

Don't forget, it was on the cover of The Guide--fan favorite comedy. Community has a crazy loyal fanbase (of which I am proudly part of), and if NBC is (insert derogatory adjective here) enough to let it go, another channel will pick it up.
seriously?! Community is better than TBBT?! you gotta be kidding me. anyway I'm glad that Revenge, Game of Thrones got their categories. Also pleased that Craig is getting the deserved place because he's simply the greatest latenightshow host
I love TBBT but Community is WAY more advanced and a better show in general. It wins on creativity, jokes and characters. Creativity wise it has some of the most crazy, out there and ambitious episodes that have been so amazing and popular. TBBT usually follows pretty normal and safe plots which never surprise the audience who know know that and have tuned in for that. Jokes wise, TBBT may have some nerd and scientific talk but the jokes are always just fed to the audience and generally never re-visited. Community had a joke about beetlejuice that took 3 SEASONS (that's it's entire running time so far BTW) to set up and it was so brilliant it already has over a millkion views in a few months. And I'm sorry but TBBT characters never really change much. It makes the show easier to watch because the characters and their plot arcs don't ever really do anything to change them and rarely change their environment either which suits its mainstream audience. It doesn't make great characters that you can love and relate tand more just makes them people that we laugh at and don't really know much about at all. TBBT is for a mainstream audience and follows to the formula for a popular television show heavily whereas Community requires the audience to think and want to get to know the characters in a unique and positively brilliant and obscure masterpiece. TBBT is sure to give laughs but for a show that gives laughs, warms your heart, breaks your heart sometimes and always leaves you in awe of it's genius Community wins by far.

Yes, "Community" is way better than "The Big Bang Theory". I like TBBT, its a pretty funny 22 minute sitcom that makes me laugh but it doesn't even approach the creativity of "Community".

I never found the big bang theory, modern family, or 30 rock to be even remotely funny. Ok, 30 rock is mildly funny (I like that Tina Fey, but tracy morgan is insufferable! (you either love him or hate him...). I know it's only in infancy (and no jinx), but Suburgatory is 10x better than all these shows combined.
